Tremblant wins #1 Eastern Resort for a 13th consecutive year

Mont-Tremblant, September 23rd 2009 - Results of the Ski Magazine 22nd annual survey revealed that Tremblant is once again the top resort in the east in the October issue of the magazine, available in stores this week.Voted #1 for a 13th consecutive year by readers of SKI magazine, Mont Tremblant Resort has again seized first place in the rankings for Eastern North America. For the 14th time since 1996, the uncommon experience offered by Tremblant, both on the mountain and in the pedestrian village, has won over the readers responding to the survey, which is done by the popular magazine.

Skiers vote doesn't lie
Tremblant also took on the first rank in Eastern North America for its lodging (Les Suites Tremblant, Sunstar Tremblant by Lespri, Tremblant Elysium, Club Intrawest, Fairmont Tremblant, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Mariott Residence Inn) as well as for the following categories: Lifts, Service, On-Mountain Food, Dining, Apres-Ski and Overall Satisfaction. Tremblant has also done very well in other categories such as Off-Hill Activities (3rd position), Value (5th position), Grooming (6th position) and Family Programs (7th position).

"It's with great pride that we are welcoming again this year our position in this prestigious survey in the ski industry in North America. Our will to offer a memorable experience to our guests shows through the voice of the skiers and we will continue to always go that extra mile," was delighted Charles Massicotte, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tremblant.

Innovations
A new program is on this winter at the ski school. The flaik™ system will get integrated into the majority of the programs for kids at the ski school. This device will make it possible to locate the children in real-time using an arm-band provided with a GPS. In addition to ensuring peace of mind for the parents, it will be possible to re-examine the day spent on the slopes at home. Everything is recorded on the Web site, so that the skiers can view which tracks and which chairlifts they took during the day and also, they will be able to obtain interesting statistics such as speed, number of trails done in a day, maximum speed reached, distance covered and much more. This service will also be offered to groups or anyone wanting to try the device.
This year, Tremblant levels the control of its snowmaking system while adding telemetry functionalities to make it more effective. Indeed, these functions will make it possible to better follow the system performances and thus optimize the opportunities in snowmaking. Also, some amendments will be done on the "La Passe" track, at the Flying Mile lift exit, to make the slope less steep to accommodate beginners.

Moreover, visitors can benefit from the very new Casino de Mont-Tremblant for the first winter. The Casino is at the base of the Versant Soleil and adds to the already many activities offered in the current village, as well as being another great après-ski option! A new gondola was inaugurated in order to facilitate the access from the Versant Sud to the Versant Soleil. Offering a breathtaking view of the village and the Tremblant Lake, this gondola is ecological, panoramic and free!

Events all season long
Again this year, Mont Tremblant Resort will kick off the season with early winter's hottest event, the 24h of Tremblant. More than 1000 skiers and riders will take up the slopes during the 24 consecutive hours, attempting to repeat last year's extraordinary feat of raising $1 million for sick and underprivileged children. A number of other events will punctuate winter right up to the TELUS Spin - the event that winds up the spring season with the best spring skiing, high-level competitions, free concerts and shows plus ongoing entertainment and parties in the pedestrian village.
